My current mixing ratio for paint pouring is: 1 part acrylic paint to 1 part PVA.
Add water to reach desired consistency. Then a spray of silicone just prior to pouring.
I bounce back and forth between using PVA and Pouring Mediums to just paint and water,
sometimes Floetrol, sometimes not. Sometimes I use a torch. Sometimes a heat gun
I am convinced that it is all about the fluidity of the paints.
There are many recipes and mixing ratios online, I think it's important to experiment and see what works for you.

    Animal Cell

    9:45

You will learn about Animal Cell in this video. The animal cell is surrounded by a flexible cell membrane that encloses all the contents of the cell. It is semi- permeable, i.e. it allows only specific materials to move in and out of the cell.

The different parts of the cell are called organelles. The animal cell has a jelly like substance called cytoplasm that provides a surface for all organelles.

The nucleus is the control centre of the cell. It decides and controls most of the functions going on in the cell.

The mitochondria are the sites for cellular respiration in the cell. They are known as the powerhouses of the cell as they release energy rich compounds called ATP, which are needed for the functioning, growth and maintenance of the body.

The endoplasmic reticulum is a large network of membrane bounds sheets and tubes. It helps to transport and exchange materials between the various regions of the cytoplasm. There are 2 types of the endoplasmic reticulum, the rough endoplasmic reticulum and the smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

It is called the rough endoplasmic reticulum due to the presence of ribosomes on its surface that help in the building and synthesis of proteins.

While, it is called the smooth endoplasmic reticulum due to the absence of ribosomes. They are involved in synthesis of lipids which are essential components of the cell membranes

Ribosomes then carry these proteins to the golgi apparatus that process and package these proteins. The layers of golgi apparatus are called golgi bodies. They are involved in the formation of lysosomes. The lysosomes are called the suicide bags of the cell. They help in cell digestion. They break down the cell wastes and convert it into new cell building material in the cytoplasm.

Class 6-10 - Cell Structure and its Function

    4:20

What is the smallest unit of our body? The cell. Can it get any smaller? How many cells are produced in our body everyday? Have you heard of cell suicide? It’s called apoptosis. How many different kinds of cells do we have? How does that single cell become this collection of organ systems that we call the human body? Learn more about the beginning of our life in terms of how a single person comes to be, through this video module.

We at Byju's Classes strongly believe that a spirit of learning and understanding can only be inculcated when the student is curious, and that curiosity can be brought about by creative and effective teaching. It is this approach that makes our lectures so successful and gives our students an edge over their counterparts.

    Mitochondria Structure and Function

    11:54

Mitochondria structure and function-This lecture explains about the structure and function of mitochondria.
The mitochondrion (plural mitochondria) is a double membrane-bound organelle found in most eukaryotic cells.[1] The word mitochondrion comes from the Greek μίτος, mitos, i.e. thread, and χονδρίον—, chondrion, i.e. granule[2] or grain-like.

Mitochondria are commonly between 0.75 and 3μm in diameter[3] but vary considerably in size and structure. Unless specifically stained, they are not visible. Mitochondria have been described as the powerhouse of the cell because they generate most of the cell's supply of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), used as a source of chemical energy.[4] In addition to supplying cellular energy, mitochondria are involved in other tasks, such as signaling, cellular differentiation, and cell death, as well as maintaining control of the cell cycle and cell growth.[5] Mitochondria have been implicated in several human diseases, including mitochondrial disorders,[6] cardiac dysfunction,[7] and heart failure. A recent University of California study including ten children diagnosed with severe autism suggests that autism may be correlated with mitochondrial defects.[8]

With the help of a microscope, an English scientist, Robert Hooke, first discovered the existence of cells in 1665.Scanning electron microscopes are used to examine the external parts of various organisms. The transmission electron microscope is used to view the internal structure of a cell and its organelles.Organisms that are made up of a single cell and perform all their vital activities, like reproduction, locomotion and digestion, are called unicellular organisms.Organisms that are made up of more than one cell are called multicellular organisms.Amoeba uses small finger-like projections called pseudopodia for locomotion and to capture prey.Paramecium is a single cell and is built in such a way that it performs all its vital activities, like reproduction, locomotion, digestion, and so on. Class 11 Biology – Cell the Unit of Life
There was a scientist named Robert Hooke who first saw that cork resembled the structure of honeycomb consisting of many small components. So he named them as cells. This was a major discovery after a long time that seemingly consistent living beings are made of smaller things which make them discontinuous. After this discovery, the study of these fundamental units began and we’ll learn about the structure and working of these fundamental units in this chapter. We’ll learn
    1. Cell biology and cell theory.
    2. Prokaryotic cells and its types.
    3. Cytoplasm of prokaryotic cell.
    4. Prokaryotic cells Ribosomes, Nucleoid and Plasmids.

After discussing what a cell cycle is, the tutorial goes on to discuss the various stages of cell cycle, namely the I-Phase and the M-Phase and also outlines the basic differences between these two phases.Going forward, the video gives interesting insights on the time taken to complete each of these phases in different organisms. After providing a rough outline of the different phases of cell cycle, the tutorial goes on to explain the Quiescent phase in relation to the complete cell division phenomenon.
