NAM HUỲNH ĐẠO KUNG FU SCHOOL is one of the best kung fu school in Vietnam. The meaning of MARTIAL ARTS [or KUNG FU] we learned is STOP WAR [STOP FIGHTING] to reach HUMAN HAPPINESS.

Now, I'm a trainer of the kung fu school. Actually, I don't like kung fu but I go to the kung fu school like a way to improve healthy. But gradually I was fascinated by the profound truth of Martial Arts Culture - especially that is Martial Arts Culture of Vietnam.
Martial Arts Culture of Vietnam was proven over thousands of years of war history protecting the country from the invading nations mighty.
Not as I had previously thought that the power of martial arts is to win in the bloody arena.

Sau này, De Ming đối mặt với những thử thách mới khi một nhóm robot sát thủ đã đáp xuống Trái Đất để truy sát những robot đào ngũ, phục vụ cho con người.

For the past 50 years, kung fu master Li Liangui has been contorting his body into seemingly impossible positions as he practices one of the more unusual Chinese martial arts. The 70-year-old is an expert in suogugong—or body shrinking kung fu— in which practitioners dislocate their joints to help them achieve unlikely positions and feats of contortion. But this is no simple story of double-jointedness. Liangui is among the world's last suogugong masters, and his ability to withstand pain has given him the flexibility and bones of a 30-year-old.

The Kung Fu Master (少林義士洪熙官) is an ATV television series aired in Hong Kong in 1994.The story is based on the historic martial art legend Hung Hei-gun (Donnie Yen) in the Qing dynasty. In the final stand Hung Hei-gun and Fong Sai-yuk (Nick Cheung) fight their way to defend the Shaolin Monastery against the invading army of the Qianlong emperor who was trying to get rid of oppositions. Qianlong was also afraid to reveal that he was not a true manchu.

Die Dokumentation gibt intensive und seltene Einblicke in das heutige China – zwischen hartem Drill, Durchhaltevermögen und der Hoffnung auf ein besseres Leben.

Die Kampfschule Shaolin Tagou in der zentralchinesischen Provinz Henan ist die größte Shaolin-Schule des Landes. Rund tausend Kilometer von ihren Eltern entfernt kämpfen sich Xin Chenxi (9) und Chen Xi (15) in der Masse der anderen Mädchen und Jungen durch einen Alltag, der von Disziplin, Regeln und täglichem harten Training geprägt ist. Doch Kung-Fu ist zugleich ihre Chance. Sie wissen, wofür sie so hart trainieren: Eines Tages wollen sie zu Chinas Kung-Fu-Elite gehören. Je besser sie ihre Kampftechniken beherrschen, desto größer ist ihre Chance, aus ihrer ärmlichen Herkunft ein lebenswertes Leben zu machen.

Huang Luolan (17) konnte dem Drill an der Schule nicht standhalten. Sie ist zurück nach Shanghai geflüchtet. Im Vergleich zu Kindern in Deutschland führen die Mädchen an der Kung-Fu-Schule ein extrem hartes und leistungsorientiertes Leben. Aber tief in sich haben sie die gleichen Träume wie alle Kinder überall auf der Welt. Und die kann ihnen keiner nehmen.

„Drachenmädchen“ beschreibt nicht nur die Faszination für Kung-Fu, eine Sportart, die durch ihre einzigartige Kombination aus Kraft, Ausdauer, visueller Schönheit und Perfektion weltweit begeistert, sondern geht einen bedeutsamen Schritt weiter. Der Regisseur und Kameramann Inigo Westmeier hat mit „Drachenmädchen“ einen beeindruckenden Film über Chinas größte Kung-Fu-Schule mit spektakulären Bildern gedreht. Trotz schwieriger Drehbedingungen ist ihm ein intimer und berührender Einblick in das Seelenleben dreier Schülerinnen gelungen: Sie sind hin- und hergerissen zwischen den extrem hohen Anforderungen des Trainings und der Sehnsucht nach Geborgenheit- und nach ihren Familien. If you don't think the techniques of kung-fu can work in a cage (at the highest level), think again.

Some kung-fu techniques cannot be used inside the cage, due to the ruleset, but there are still plenty which can and already are being put to use! Kung-fu is considered the root of all martial arts, if you train for performance, your kung-fu will only be good for performance. If you train for fighting inside a cage (with plenty of place to move, against trained strategic martial artists), you will be able to use your kung-fu inside the cage (example: Cung Le who trained sanda and competed in wushu competitions before MMA). If you train for self defense (attacks from the back, multiple opponents, improvised weapons, agressive thugs) you will hone and adapt your kung-fu for those scenarios.

No martial arts purpose is greater than any other.
Some styles lend themselves more to one purpose than others (capoeira is easier to impress an audience with than krav maga, while krav maga is easier to use for self defense) but what matters most is not what you train but how.
